About LIP:
LIP, founded in 1887, has been writing watch-making history for over a century and a half, through its innovations and exclusive yet accessible creations.
The LIP watch throughout history:
- A LIP watch was given to Winston Churchill by the French government in 1948 in recognition of Great Britain’s services to France during the Second World War.
- In 1954, Maurice Herzog conquered the 8091-metre-high Annapurna with a Himalaya LIP watch on his wrist.
Today, from its headquarters in Besançon, LIP is still putting together collections of the brand’s most iconic models, made in France according to Franche-Comté tradition.
