About Chausse Mouton :
But where do the famous Charentaises Sheep Shoe come from? Any idea?
To help you a little, here are some clues: truffles, foie gras, chestnuts, strawberries…
You still have no idea?
Sheep Shoe is in the Périgord! More precisely, in the Green Périgord . The factory has been present for several decades and since 1930 offers comfortable and soft slippers. This is where the whole Chausse Mouton family was born and continues to exist!
A secret is a secret but the Sheep Shoe is going to reveal a method: it’s the method - almost ancestral - of sewing back.
Here it is: The method of the backstitch allows to have a comfort and an optimal resistance of the slippers thanks to a seam known as simple jointing on a shoe mounted upside down, which is then returned manually. It sounds complicated but it’s the best method for your feet to feel in a warm cocoon.
