Simone Veil's life is one of struggle and courage.
A pampered and mischievous child, Simone lives happily in Nice with her parents, her two sisters and her brother. When the war broke out in 1939, the family had to change their way of living: non-practicing Jews, they were the target of the Nazis' hatred. Deported to Auschwitz with one of her sisters and her mother, Simone fights for her survival. She returned to France after the war, alone with her sister. His father and brother died, as did his mother.
From then on, Simone will take her life head on. She became a magistrate, married, raised children, then was appointed minister. She is committed to improving the living conditions of prisoners, passes a law authorizing abortion, which saves the lives of millions of women, and participates in the construction of the European Union, to ensure peace in Europe.
