La Maison Tirot, labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV), is the last manufacturer of wooden toy boats in France strong>. It was created in 1946 in Brittany, in Romagné, where it continues today to design and manufacture small wooden toy sailboats by hand.
The idea was born from the desire of its founder Francis Tirot to please children with a toy made using a shoe lathe: A seaworthy wooden boat. Maison Tirot now offers a varied range of toy boats: From the Bachi, ideal as a birth gift to the Béajour, a sailboat equipped to cross the most tumultuous oceans.
As part of the collaboration with the Élysée - Présidence de la République brand, the Maison Tirot boats are adorned with the national colors and the seal of the Presidency for
strong>new versionsand exclusively available in the Élysée boutiques.
Maison Tirot, recently taken over by Augustin Hubert, who himself played with these boats, continues its development today. With touches of modernity, Maison Tirot continues a tradition of manufacturing objects intended to be transmitted from generation to generation.
